Last Weekly Science Article Report - Period 5
This week, you will put together our last weekly science article report of the year!
Your reflection should be at least 250 words long (you can use the Word Count feature in Word to keep track of this -- it's under the Tools menu).
Since this is our last weekly science article report of the year, I expect this to be your best work all year.
So, your assignment is:
1) Find an article an do our regular weekly science article report (look back on the blog to find a description if you don't remember).
2) Makes comments on the reports of 3 other students.
3) This is all due by next Monday, June 1st.

Reflection on Researching your Organism
I want you to do two things with this blog assignment:
1) Reflect on what you learned by researching your organism.
-what did you learn?
- what surprised you?
- what was cool?
- what would you like to know more about?
2) Have a discussion with your fellow science students about what you learned
This assignment is due by Friday, May 15th.
I look forward to your discussions.

Evolution Test
Our test on Evolution will be given on Friday, May 15th.
Also, note that there will be questions about the Dogs and More Dogs video on the test, based on the notes I ask you to take.
Here's the study guide:

Researching an Organism Project
We are about to begin our study of ecology, which is all about how living things relate to each other and their environment.
You are going to do some research to get us started. For this project, you are going to pick an organism and research it and the environment in which it lives. You are going to discover how it performs its life processes (MRLSTRNGER).
Your goal is to become an expert on your organism.
Here's the important part: The organism you pick has to be one YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE!
Here are a couple of good places to start:
Tree of Life Project
Encyclopedia of Life
You can show your research in a number of ways:
1) A Google Docs presentation
2) A Word/Google Docs document with pictures
3) A video of some kind
4) A poster (Glogster or on paper)
5) Scratch Animation
6) A model
7) Something else -- please talk to me about your ideas.
This assignment is due Monday, May 11th.
I am really looking forward to what you come up with!
