Some things that surprised me in the video, was the way how they explained things to you and tried to show it to you. I think it made me learn these things a little bit easier. They clearly stated what they were doing and what body system it was.
Some things that I thought were cool was the technology the scientists used to help other people who have a disease or a problem in their body. They are very interesting to look at because it's hard to believe that we could make these things today.
Some things that grossed me out was when the doctors performed real life surgeries on people. I thought it was disgusting because they showed you everything. I also thought the noises of the machines sounded disturbing.

Something that I thought was really cool was seeing Steven Tyler’s vocal chords. I know that Stevens voice could go high, but seeing it was just too much. It looked really awesome but still cool. I wonder if the camera affectided his singing at all.

Also what I thought was cool was the brain surgery for the tumor. It looked exactly like it did in a model. What I didn’t know was that they have to keep the patient up for a surgery. I was surprised that it didn’t hurt him at all.

Well what I thought was interesting about the movie was that the way that they describe the human body systems. Even though parts are gross, it was a good way I think to teach kids about the human body system and their jobs. I thought it made the human body systems more interesting to learn about. I thought when they did the surgery and stuff that it was a great way to show us what happens inside the body. Some things I thought that were cool that happened in the movie was when the guy had surgery on his tumor. Also when the girl ripped her skin off and then they showed the skeletal system inside I thought that was real cool.

Some things that surprised me were how the explained things. Like the way they showed the images. One of the gross things were Steve Tylers vocal cords. That was just gross and disgusting how they should that. I knew that his voice could go so high pitch but I never knew it would look like that. Some other things that grossed me out were the real life surgeries on people. I thought it was disgusting because they showed you everything.

questions-
I wanted to know if people would feel the camera or was it just a little device that they wouldn’t feel?

The human machine was one of the scairest things i have ever seen!!!!! (not really) but the part when that lady riped her skin off was scary! One of the things that suprised me was the fact that your brain functions by using electricity!! I wonderd... how does your body produce electricity?!?!? is it static? is made from the food you eat? One more thing that suprised me was the patch that can rapidly repair flesh. I diddnt quite get how it worked, but it was really cool!!!

One thing that was gross was the part when the girl ripped off all of her skin and then her face, feet and hands swelled up. I thought that was gross because out of nowhere she just ripped it off and it was just weird.

One thing that was cool was the little “pill cam” that went around the body and all the different tubes and stuff. I thought it was cool because it was a little camera that was traveling around inside someone. The one thing that had me thinking was how did it move around without falling down in to the stomach and how it was able to be that small.

One thing I learned was that you don’t have any nerves in your brain and when you get brain surgery you need to be awake and you get tested on things to see if the surgeons hit a main part of your brain. I think that’s a little scary because you can’t move and you hear people working on your brain and you can’t do any thing about it.

When I first heard that we were watching a movie about the human body, I was kind of disappointed. I expected it to be boring, with pictures and descriptions from an old-fashioned textbook. But as the movie went on there were some things that really interested me and some things that grossed me out, but it was never boring! For example, at the beginning when they showed that lady who ripped off her skin and who’s feet, hands and legs swelled up, that really got my attention, but it was really gross. When they showed that guy getting a tumor getting removed from his brain, I couldn’t believe he was awake and only his brain was numb, so they could tell which parts of his brain were still working. It was fascinating to learn how Olympic athletes trained for the Olympics with special equipment that pushed them to train harder. The part that showed Steven Tyler’s (lead singer of Aerosmith) vocal cords in action was pretty darn cool.
The video we watched made me understand how many things are at work in the human body. It showed me how dangerous a disease can be when it gets into your system. It also showed me the great things the human body can do when its complex systems are working together. It is a really truly amazing machine.
