We have done our first project with Google Docs. I like using this tool because you can use Google Docs on any computer and because it is easier to work with others.
Now, I would like to hear from you what you thought about using Google Docs. What worked? What did not work? What suggestions/feedback do you have?

I really enjoy using google docs and i think that it would be a fun to use this more during the year. It has everything in one place, and its better because everyone in your group can participate.

I like that you can use Google Docs anywhere. I think maybe we should use it again for a project because if you are working in a group everybody can work on the project at the same time. I didn't like that there wasn't any spell check or grammar check. Also if you wanted to add a word in the middle of something you wouldn't be able to without it deleting the rest of your work.
I really enjoyed using Google docs because people could work on the same thing at the same time instead of everyone working on different things. Also it is really easy to get to. The only bad part was that if you and your partner are editing or working on the same spot it gets messed up and comes out weird or it something pops up on the screen telling one of the people that they can’t edit that. But otherwise I really liked working on Google docs.
“Google docs”: Reflection
I really liked using “google docs”… in my opinion it’s a great tool that’s very helpful for working on project or assignments. “Google docs” makes working with someone on a project MUCH easier because you can collaborate work… which means that you could both be working on the project… at the same time! All of your partners work will show up while you work… automatically! For this project… when my partner added new writing to our paper or power-point, I could easily edit it, and add in anything else I felt necessary. Another reason is that you can access your work from any computer, so you don’t have to worry about emailing things, or which computer something is on.
There are a couple things I feel could be improved about this program. One of the biggest things that really annoyed me when I was doing my power-point was that there was not many design choices… like colors, slide transitions, ect. Also, there was no spell check on the power-point program with “google docs” so, I felt un easy about my editing, because I think we all agree that having spell check when writing is like that extra safety blanket… and with having no spell-check, it made this tougher to edit.
I feel that “google docs” is a really cool tool, and we should use it for projects… especially ones where we have to work with partners!

I liked using google docs because you got to see what your partner was writing and it was much better then just using word because then you would have to print it out and that would kill trees. And there wasent really anything bad about it.
Using Google Docs Reflection
I think that Google Docs is a really good site for writing documents, designing presentations, making charts and many more important things that we need to accomplish in science class.
It’s perfect for writing a document because you can work on it in school, at home, or on any computer. You can also share that document with other people that may be working on it with you, and every time someone makes a change on that document it is updated on everyone’s file. Two people can even work on the same document at the same time, and every few seconds it is updated on both computers! Writing a document on Google Docs is just as easy as writing it on Microsoft Word or Word Perfect because it has all the same tools that they have. You can easily use spell check, and draw a table, or change the style, size and color of a font, and basically anything else you would need to do on a document.
It is definitely great for designing presentations too. On Microsoft Power Point you can add cool transitions and backgrounds very easily, and a lot of people would say that a Power Point is better because of those features, but it is just the opposite. Since Google Docs doesn’t have those features, students will be compelled to make the content of the presentation better, rather than getting caught up in all the fancy graphics. The one bad thing about the Google Docs Presentation is that there is no spell check on it, so if you make a careless typing error you may not see it while you are editing.
Everything on Google Docs is very user friendly, and it is not hard or too complicated for most people to figure out. I am not the best with computers and I had no problem using Google Docs. I think that we should continue to use Google Docs for any necessary projects or essays.
I liked using google docs because we did have to work at home and at school and we didn't have to use a flash drive or e-mail it back and forth to work on it in both places. I didn't like the power point program because it didn't have a spell check and I had a very hard time fixing my spelling errors without spell check. I think I would like google docs better when I get to know the program a little bit better because it is very new to me right now and I don't think I am taking full advantage of how it can help me.
I enjoy using the program Google Docs. I like it because you can work on the same document as you partner AND at the same time. I find this really useful because you know what changes your partner is making while she makes them. You can also go on it on any computer! I find it easier than putting something on the shared file when you can only access it from one computer.
I also have a dislike about Google Docs. Sometimes, when you are working on a presentation, you cannot work on the same slide as your partner. I find this difficult because if you have one slide left, and you both need to do some of it, you can’t work on it at the same time otherwise it will delete one partner’s work. The same thing happens on a document.
Google Docs works fine for me; I don’t really have any suggestions at the moment.
I thought that the Google doc was a great idea, but I think it is too much of a hassle to go to G docs and do alot of crazy stuff to it. Also I think we should not put a lot of games on it because I’ve seen people play on the games instead of work. Last thing is, this is good that if we have an account like this and I think this really helps me.
I didn't like using Google Docs because there was so many faults.
First and made my computer and the ones in school freeze or jam up when two people were working on.
Second there was no spell check, which I know we're in 7th grade, but even adults mess up.
Third when two people work on it it sometimes mixes sentences, or even whole paragraphs, up.
Fourth you can do almost anything you can do on Google Docs on Microsoft Word and more!
The only thing good about Google Docs is that you can work on it a home and school, but you can just email a Word Document to your self.
Overall, I would perfer Microsoft Word much better.
i really enjoyed using google docs because you can customize your own homepage by adding stuff. You can also put powerpionts on it and send stuff that you need for class
that is why i like to use it and you can talk to your friends by sending messeges. The only thing bad is when you try typing a word in middle of sentece then deletes words in front of it.
I think the googlr docs thing is fun. I like the home page thing and how you can put any thing on it. I hope our other projects can be on google docs.
i really enjoy ueing google docs i like how we can make a powerpoint. that is real cool and i like how we can make are own homepage i like it a lot.also its better because everyone is in the same groupcan participate
Google docs worked well for me. Although i would've preferred using Microsoft Word. I liked being able to do the lab report and the powerpoint at home without having to e-mail it to myself. I could also share the project with my partner very easily. We could edit the work and our partner would almost instantly be able to see it.
It worked that me and my partner could bloth work on it at the same time. But what did not work is that we could not bolth do spell check and every five minutes this thing woulld pop up and delete eveything that me and my partner typed. I think we should have a time in class were we can practice using Google Docs. I think we should use it more this year
I like Google doc because it has the same features as word does. Google doc also can send your work or share with people that you chose so people cannot mess up your project. I also like that you can make your own home page.
Google docs was really fun and easy to use. One upside to google docs is that two people can work on the same thing at the same time, without being in the same room, same house even. The only down side was that we didn't know haw to use it very well, which is because we never used it before, so I think if we use this for all af our science work, it would be a big help.
i thought that google docs was a great learning experiance. for people that have never shared documents on the internet before. and great way to share documents on the internetwith others .
Google Docs is a great way to get projects done. First of all, you can work on your project anywhere because it’s on the internet rather than a word document. The program includes recourses like spell-check and thesauruses which makes writing a whole lot easier. Writing on Google Docs is also one of the most productive ways to write labs because you and your partner can work at the same time. At firs I found the program confusing, but now that I’m used to it I find it quite user friendly. It is really fun to personalize your Google Docs page; it makes logging on more enjoyable. There is one thing about the program that can get annoying. When writing, it saves your work every second. This may seem like a good thing but once you make a major error in writing, there’s no going back. Otherwise Google Docs is a great way to complete group projects, I might even use it to help me in the future.
One of the things that I liked about using Google Docs was that you and a group can both work on the same thing and you don’t have to e-mail it to yourself or use a flash-drive and also you can see what the other person is doing. What I didn’t like about Google Docs is that it has no spell check and sometimes when you are editing something at the same time someone else is, your text just gets deleted for no apparent reason. What also is kind of annoying is that if you use the power point than you can’t put in a chart without downloading a slide.
